After graduation, I taught on a transitional teaching license. I taught in the Woodburn School District. I then went to Japan and taught English as a second language. I grew up between Bolivia and the United States and speak Spanish and English fluently. I took statistics in university and taught math in Spanish from time to time as a substitute for the Woodburn School District. In Woodburn I taught a self contained classroom for a while. I had to teach ELL students Social Studies, Math, Language arts in both Spanish and English and science. As a substitute I taught all kinds of classrooms including all subject matters. A Little Bit About Me...

I am truly passionate about working with children and helping them learn. I am patient with each child I work with. I hold them accountable for their own learning and success. I am not looking for them to always get the answer right, but rather to think and try 100% of the time. Sometimes we just don’t know the answer and that is ok. I believe in having fun with my students and allowing them to have fun while we work. Having fun while they work will likely lead to them being willing to work hard and learn new skills.
