I am certified in Alabama and Georgia as a professional educator. In Georgia, I am certified in elementary and middle grades). As a Highly Qualified Teacher in Alabama, I am certified P-6 expiring in 2015. I have altogether 15 years experience tutoring students from ages 6-24 year olds tutoring college students in Economics, Math, and Speech. I earned a Masters Degree in Elementary Education in May 2005 and a Bachelors in Accounting. I am also the oldest of 5 children with the age difference ranging from 6-16 years, so I've had the responsibility of assisting my siblings with school work. I am very flexible in my teaching style and have helped students who learn in very different ways. While I was working with the Reading by the River program I worked with four different students each of which learned in very different ways. From this I learned at a very early time in my life that it is crucial to cater to each individual students needs.
