I have been a substitute teacher for grades K-12 since 2001 and worked as a tutor for Siena's Higher Education Opportunity Program. I find working with children rewarding. I am patent and understanding and cater to individual learning styles. I use my artistic sense to help students visually understand learning. I have a passion for teaching but waited until I gained some "real world" experience. I found that this has helped me relate to my students since I am able to make meaningful connections to their learning. My journey through the undergraduate sciences has given me the skills needed to be an effective tutor. Holding a 3.6 GPA, I was able to work with students in group settings, teaching as well as learning.
