My comments on tutoring Reading Comprehension : I have taught reading comprehension for thirty years in various grades from Kindergarten to sixth grade.

I have tutored in both Robeson County and Cumberland County for a total of six years. I tutored students in math, reading and science from grades Kindergarten to sixth grade. We also prepared students in grades three through six for the End of the Year test. We taught test taking strategies as well. My very first year of teaching was at the Lehigh Valley Performing Arts High School, and I also taught for two years at Northern Lehigh High School. My most recent experience was as apreschool teacher. Despite the fact that the children were all the same age, whatever developmental or cognitive delays a child might have, is not being addressed, therefore making the teaching environment, very stressful.
