We all have different views, and I would like to find that gateway into the minds of children so that they can see and understand more. I use different methods for each individual. It depends on each person what they like and want in order to find the motivation in themselves. It is satisfying to see people realize that they can achieve more than they first thought. I have earned a bachelor of science degree in General Science, which means I have a very good understanding of many topics including: Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Physics, Computers, and Arts. I enjoy teaching all age groups. I especially like working with High School students.Initially, they can be quite a challenge to work with, but once they are engaged they are fully immersed in the topic! I like to be creative and interactive! I was a difficult High School student so I can relate to many that get bored with some topics. I really like to use transactional teaching methods. I introduce a subject and have discussions about the material rather than strictly lecturing.I like to learn what the student can teach me after assigned a reading. As a double major in Economics and Sociology I gained extensive experience with both mathematics as well as writing and oral presentations. In my final semester I enrolled in two graduate level classes and despite the difficulty of my class schedule worked even harder to achieve a 4.0 GPA for that semester. The combination of Economics and Sociology has provided a unique opportunity for me to develop my ability to understand complicated mathematical theories and equations and explain them in both written and oral forms.
