I am Ohio Northern University graduate and have a major in mathematics and a minor in secondary education. I have taught high school mathematics for four years. I have held positions of CFO, controller, and divisional analyst which enabled me to gain extensive experience in the private sector of business and advanced technical skills in microsoft excel and various accounting systems. The goal of my approach is to enable students to have a level of ownership in learning concepts and ideas. Merely teaching the idea is not enough, and that "Oh, I see" moment must occur to embed the idea for long-term growth. I attended National University and earned a teaching certificate. I worked in a junior college in San Diego as a tutor in math, English, reading, and social studies.
