Anatomy is one of my top subjects!

I am a kinesthetic, visual learner and that is how I like to teach. I was not one of those students who could hear a concept once and apply the it the next second with total understanding. I needed to draw situations out, picture guides, analogies, and other strategies that made it possible for my mind to grasp and understand. In response to growing up with the continuous difficulty of facing teachers who were not fans of nonlinguistic learning, I found a passion in tutoring and teaching in a way that allows students to have multiple opportunities to understand.

I graduated with a B.S. in Elementary Education with a concentration in Mathematics. I spent a year as a Substitute Teacher in Lincoln, NE. I then took a year and a half break from teaching to recruit for a small college. I went back into teaching as a grade 7-12 mathematics teacher. I was responsible for the 7th grade through pre-calculus courses at Wheatland Public Schools in Madrid Nebraska. This school was then combined into Grant Public Schools. As an undergraduate I was able to be involved in forensic DNA research. After graduating I entered medical school where I have pursued research interests in pediatric infectious diseases, and middle ear dysfunction. In medical school I tutored students in pathology and pharmacology. My passions are teaching and patient care.
