I have held informal teaching positions throughout my entire life. I have tutored everything from pre-algebra to Calculus to Piano. I'm currently employed as an after school tutor for middle school students, 6th grade to 8th, and independently tutor on Saturdays.
My style is relaxed and informal, but effective. School already provides enough structure, and with a relaxed mind, information can be processed more easily. 1 hour sessions multiple times a week is the best way for the information to sink in.

A Little Bit About Me...

In conclusion, I think that I can still be successful in teaching. I however, need to find what area that I can be most successful at. In the past, I have found the most enjoyment and fulfillment working with special needs and incarcerated students. I hope that this time, t hat I can be more persistent, responsible, and realistic in my teaching and counseling career.
Since my previous experience has been working with fairly non-traditional students, I would like to find a similar position. I have applied for several positions that have opened up in public school ... read more
