For 1:1 tutoring my teaching style will vary depending on the individual's needs and the topic covered. I try to work at the student’s learning pace in an effort to allow the student time to comprehend and retain what is covered within the session. I am not interested in helping others learn what I know (and love) to find out later that I was "too fast" for them to use the information after the session. I love working with children. I especially love teaching them about science and mathematics because I find these subjects so interesting. There are few things more rewarding then seeing it all "click." I like to use diagrams and real life situations to explain subjects. My teaching philosophy centers on individual learning. The first priority is to determine what method is best for getting an individual to process information. The second step is then to breakdown the material and removing the myth that a traditionally challenging course is simply a "myth" and depends solely on the effort given by the student.
