As a teacher, classroom experiences have made me realize all students do not learn the same fashion. Some students are more aggressive and advanced but there are those who are silent and will not speak out about difficulties understanding competencies. I prefer not to embarrass those students but give them the opportunity to learn one-on-one. While some students have a difficult time with teacher/student ratio, I like to give the option of working with another student who may understand the content and can teach another peer. In addition, students need to connect content with real world examples that I bring to the classroom. Students comprehend what they understand and identify.

I am a recent graduate of Alabama State University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Graduating magna cum laude at the top of my class with a 3.65/4.0 grade point average, I was always sought after for help in those tough curriculum classes like physics, chemistry, genetics and molecular biology. In the spring of 2006 I began formally tutoring general and organic chemistry to college juniors and seniors for the physical science/chemistry professor at my university.
