I'm PhD physicist with more than 20 years of tutoring experience at all possible levels and with variety of students ranging from gifted kids of elementary school to PhD students of Wash Uni as well as active tutors themselves.<><><><> I'm really patient (even with my own kids!) and start with putting myself in my student's shoes. There are many arrays of learning styles. I personally use visually, writing, and seeing the bigger picture. First, the mind can develop a concept or help map out the ideas by seeing the picture to the learning task. Second writing helps to reinforce the concept or idea. Since I have been coaching, I knew that I wanted to continue with passing on my knowledge to others. I believe that through teaching the passing of my knowledge can be most rewarding. A Little Bit About Me...

I have been teaching and coaching athletics for nine years, mostly high school science, but also reading, SAT/ACT preparation, and other topics. I have also published two children's books and three young adult fiction books. My B.S. is in Biochemistry from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
I focus on beginning with a student where they are at on a certain topic. I mold a lesson to integrate as much as possible with the student's pre-existing life interests. In nine years of teaching high school, my evaluators always compliment my use of fun and humor in keeping students engaged.
