As an engineering graduate, I know that hard work, dedication, and diligent study habits are often required to succeed in school. Many children struggle with classroom learning because they require a different learning method than the one being offered or more direct attention than a teacher of 20+ students can offer. As a dyslexia therapist I was instructed in a number of different approaches to teaching and how to match each one to an individual student's needs. I have tutored students in math and science (mainly math) for over 13 years. I have helped students in various levels of mathematics - basic math, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and pre-calculus.
