Dedicated dance teacher/tutor looking to share the arts!

My teacher style is a mixture of ballet, contemporary, and jazz fusion.
I have attended UNC School of the Arts for 7 1/2 Years studying modern/contemporary dance. I have also been trained in ballet, jazz, and have experience doing yoga, and Pilates. I am reliable, and very determined to teach those who are willing to be taught. I have done performances, and taught in New York, Winston-Salem, and Virginia.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have always thought of myself as a progressive teacher. I always thought children could learn to do anything they were asked to do. I always loved learning and felt it was my obligation to instill the same in all my students, no matter what age. I feel all students are influenced by the use of art and music to learn and that is what I use. I know I can make a difference in each child and give them a healthy learning environment. I will teach them to the best of my ability and help them reach their full potential.
I went to Ohio State in Art, then graduated at Ohio U. I taught 14 years in Florida and Ohio , grades 1 through 12; all subjects. I taught using primarily Art and music. I believe that first and foremost, teachers should inspire students to not only live up to their own potential, but to exceed their expectations and realize that they can meet and surpass any goal they set for themselves. I encourage students to take risks, knowing that I am behind them being fully supportive. My teaching style varies depending on what student I am teaching. I enjoy tailoring lessons to the specific child. Being able to do this is, in my opinion, one of the biggest advantages of working in a one-on-one setting.
