A Little Bit About Me...

I like to get on the child's level and teach that way. I like to ask the children what their best way is to learn and what are some of their favorite things are so I can incorporate them into the lesson.
I have been working with Elementary children for over 10 years now. I have helped all ages with homework, sports, and life skills (current job now as EC TA). I also have been coaching for the past five years in cheerleading and soccer, but in different age groups. A Little Bit About Me...

Prior to graduating May 8, 2010, I tutored students in grades K-12 for 2 years at an after school tutoring program called, Operation Homework. From this experience, I was able to initiate and Direct an educational summer camp called, 3-steps Ahead Summer Enrichment Camp. In this program, we aided students to perform on or above grade level in reading, writing and math. Also, prior to graduating I received a teaching position which enabled me to receive more hands-on training. My greatest strength is in teaching reading. I love working with children. I believe that all children can learn, but each child learns in a different way. In order to help a student, you must find out how they learn.
