My teaching philosophy revolves around the notion that students need respect, encouragement, and guidance to succeed in all of their academic endeavors. I believe the best way to inspire students is by conveying our own passion for the subject through out attitude of reverence for the written word, our knowledge of literature and writing, and our confidence in our own skills as educators. A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy tutoring immensely and look forward to beginning again. I like the challenge of engaging and reaching different types of learners. I use my social works skills in tutoring and vice versa. I think these two fields are closely related in the sense that I seek to empower my students as I would my clients.

Learning should be meaningful, enjoyable and lasting. Establishing a solid student-to-teacher rapport is an essential ingredient in the learning process which is of utmost importance to me.
