First I like to try to ask them where they are having trouble or watch them do some problems to see where they are having troubles. Where I find the problem I would show them the correct ways to approach a problem and prove it to them or use other methods to help them understand how the concepts work. I'm a good listener and very patient with students. Also with my computer science background, especially in statistics related applications, I can make demonstrations do demonstrate or even solve problems.

A Little Bit About Me...

While I have not any direct teaching experience, save for helping my children with their homework, I can say that I have patience, an even-tempered demeanor, and the desire to not quit until the student understands the material being covered. My approach would be in the use of practical application of the subject matter.
I have been in accounting and finance since my graduation from UW-Whitewater in 1985. I have worked in public accounting, manufacturing and in non-profit organizations. While going to college at the UW – Eau Claire, I've been a math and statistics tutor for the past four years. I've also been a Teacher’s Assistant for a statistics Professor where my duties consisted of running review sessions for the class before quizzes and exams along with grading homework and exams. I have completed four statistics courses dealing with different areas of statistics. I also have experience in one-on-one tutoring.
