I have been a self-employed Tutor since April, 2006. Special needs and home schooled students are welcomed. Nothing makes me happier than when I see the smiles on the faces of my students when they succeed rather than fail. I assist all students in skill building and creating a life-long love of learning. Whenever I can, I like to be very hands-on in my teaching my students. For example, once I was teaching my class about trees. I had them go outside and collect samples of bark which had fallen on the ground. Then we created a gigantic mural in my classroom and glued the pieces of bark to a tree we had drawn.

I have tutored for Acers tutoring in Orlando for a full year. I have full experience with teaching reading and writing, as well as somer lower level algebra and mathematic skills. The kids have ranged from ages 8-14. As well, I have been giving guitar lessons to kids between the ages of 10-14. The children have all been able to pick up quickly, and being a song writer, I encourage the kids to seek full creativity in their music and learning. In college, I've spent my time volunteering with the youth group, and helping mentor kids in the middle school age. I have always been an avid reader and writer, as well as a natural teacher. As early as middle school, I was tutoring my fellow classmates at the request of their parents. I studied Latin for five years, which provided an exceptional foundation for the study of English, which I pursued as my major at Loyola University.
