I enjoy working with students who are willing to learn. My drive to be a tutor happens when that light bulb goes on and the student finally is getting it. The satisfaction and accomplishment the student feels is what keeps me going. My philosophy ensures that students understand and are able to replicate the work I am helping them with. A Little Bit About Me...

When I was a freshman in college, I knew that my future was in my hands. I befriended and contacted my chemistry professor and zoology advisor. I worked in both of their labs, and I was only a freshman! By studying in their research groups, I gained the experience necessary to intern at Sea Life Park Hawaii. In fact, I was published in 2007 after working for Dr. Charlie Cox in the Chemistry Department. Recognizing the need for more hands-on research experience, I found another opportunity with another professor in cellular biology. In addition to conducting this research, I co-wrote the research proposal for the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program. This was an honor, for we were awarded funding for the project!
