Finance is one of my top subjects!

My last position in public accounting was as a Senior Tax Manager. With Courtaulds Coatings I was the US Tax Manager, I prepared the income, franchise, excise, GST tax returns, managed the staff for sales tax preparation and compliance as well as managed all the audit activities for each. I managed the risk management for the US coatings, fibers and aerospace divisions. While owning my own consulting business I managed all the accounting and tax (individual principals, corporate, sales and payroll) activities for a group of clients owning 5 business in 2 states. Young inexpensive tutor with modernized teaching strategies

By working with elementary students I have exhibited that I am capable of vast patience, so I am willing to work as long as the student would require. I teach every student different, so my initial goal would be to learn about the student and find out their favorite methods of instruction.

I don't think I have really developed a "unique style" by only teaching a year or so. I am a very patient person and I really like to see the "sparkle" in a students eye, when they truly understand something for the 1st time. I like to explain a concept and then give the student a problem and see if they get it. If not, I will go over as many times necessary...until they understand the material.
I have a recent Bachelor's in Accounting, as well as 15+ years of accounting experience in both private and non-profit settings. While working at Thornhill Education Center, I had the opportunity to work with students and help teach GED classes. My main focus was math. Great Question. I have been in classes where I found learning a challenge. This is what makes me unique as a teacher. I build a relationship with the student. I do my best to not only explain the material, but how they can possibly use it in the future. I also have the best patience. I will go over something over and over again, searching in my own mind for a different to present the material so it sticks.
I have always been a good teacher. I scored very well on the SAT exams, and I have extensive tutoring experience. I scored in the upper 10 percentile on the Mathmatics portion of the SATs.
