I have recently retired after 30+ years as an elementary special and regular education teacher. For the past 15 years I have also worked as a tutor for the city of White Plains. I have done extensive private tutoring for the past 20 years. For 17 years I worked as an elementary special education classroom teacher at New York Hospital in an out-patient day treatment program. This program involved elementary school age children who displayed severe emotional and academic difficulties and were unable to function in a regular school setting.

Learning Can be Easy and Fun!

ADD/ADHD is one of my top subjects! Have worked with a few students who have been diagnosed with ADD/ADHD as well as have my own experience in dealing with it myself and succeeding. Understanding this learning disorder, gives me great insight into the inner workings of the minds of these children. My comments on tutoring ADD/ADHD : I am very patient and know how to take time to break down and help challenged children with their work from experiences . As my brother and my sister both ADHA and ADD I had to take classes and join groups to become better.

I teach or Tutor accordingly to the age group I'm with.I have been in many tutor groups and shared with in the work. But I always take my time and ensure that the person knows what is being taught before moving on to the next material.
I went to college and obtained a degree in Fine Arts ,I've had many paintings and works shown in the galleries . But my main reasoning for going to college was not to learn how to but to become better and merge my self in the depths of art.
