At my undergraduate program, my professor for a course in Symbolic Logic asked to refer students in the class to me, if they had questions about the material. After the class had finished, the professor hired me through the university's Philosophy Department as a tutor for the same class. After graduation, I acted as a private tutor in my spare time. At Columbia University I was a Teaching Assistant for three college courses, giving me my greatest experience with explaining course material to a large group of students. I am currently working as a private tutor, with most of my clients learning college-level intermediate Algebra or Symbolic Logic.

Since the collapse of the housing market in Florida, and the elimination of home equity from which people financed mediation, the business has contracted substantially.
