My teaching style is differentiated teaching, as this combines many different learning styles and is able to reach most, if not all studens. I teach using many different hands-on activities, as I believe that it teaches real-world applications. I believe in texts/paper assignements but always try to back up the assignment with some type of real-world experience/scenario,; whether it be having the student give a speech, act out a script or physically demonstrate a concept or a combination of all of the above.
I have obtained my Bachelors in human Services and completed the teaching certification program at Lonestar College. I have passed my content exams in special education ec-12 and the generalist 4-8. This interest comes from having an instructor who them selves is a learner. A partnership in the tasks being presented usually results in the student wanting to understand the information and making connections. To promote critical thinking I present the material in a global manner, allowing the learner to relate the information/skill to the real-world.
