Ever since I volunteered at Guilderland High School where I helped children with homework, I love teaching and being around with children. Once you put the effort into their learning and be there with them one step at a time until they finally understand the concept and/or get the answer, it is an amazing feeling.
I recently graduated from Syracuse University. I majored in finance and marketing management with a minor in information technology. A Little Bit About Me...

While studying for my undergrad in economics I found a passion in helping others succeed as I was. I often held study sessions with groups ranging from 2- 10 people at least twice a week. When during these sessions if an individual felt lost, I would often meet with them at a later date to coach them separately. I find each experience in teaching to be different. The two girls that I tutored were both unique in personality and learning style. I find that identifying what needs the child has is the key to helping them learn. Also- figuring out what they like to learn and what they dislike is important. Although the ‘dislikes’ may be necessary, when they are identified, you can reward the student who completes them with an activity they enjoy. I understand that language does not come easily to everyone and that patience and perseverance pay off.
