As an Education Director at a Boys & Girls Club, I taught in the non-traditional sense, through after school literature-enhancing programming of various kinds. I instructed K-12 students, and even parents and staff, on many different levels of achievement and ability, so I am very acquainted with diverse populations and accomodating their educational needs through creative tools and approaches.

I possess both a MS and BS in electrical engineering. I received my BS degree from Rowan University in New Jersey and my MS from the University of Southern California. I have taken numerous classes in mathematics which include Single Variable Calculus, Multi-Variable Calculus, Differential Equations, Complex Variables, Real Analysis, Linear Algebra, Probability, and Random Processes. In addition, the focus of my graduate coursework was in the areas of signal processing and communications which use the theory from these math courses. In my experience with teaching, I find that the best way to connect and convey the information is to provide aural, visual and experiential exposure to the material. Everyone does not learn at the same pace or through the same exposure to material. It is also important to be perceptive to the possibility of student frustration as this is almost always a road block that will arise and if not identified can lead to lower absorption of the material or complete lack of understanding and drive altogether.
