As a student in Health Science, i.e. Medical Technology, I worked in a genetics laboratory for 14 years learning lab instrumentation, trouble-shooting, cytogenetics and professional etiquette. I have taught and been certified in four states. Grades 7-9 is the level I prefer, though I have taught at the Junior College level also. History is my major, and having spent much of my youth on the European continent with my father's duty assignments, it is easy to teach the events that have led to the present situations. English and education were my minors, and they have become essential living in an area where more Spanish is spoken than our native tongue. I would love to teach children especially when it comes to math and science. I have been taking college classes since I was a Sophmore in high school and know how important education is at a young age. Through my experience as working as an engineer and graduating college I would like to show children what opportunities there are out there and why education is so important.
