The realization that children do well in small group instructional settings, and on an individual tutoring basis, is what I took most from my years in the classroom. My focus is to ascertain the instructional level needed, then instruct for that standpoint. I do not like busywork, but instead look for progress in the individual child. Algebra I is one of my top subjects! Algebra 1 teaches students various concepts, tools and techniques to understand basic linear equations and inequalities, word problems and hence apply them later in more advanced courses.
