My comments on tutoring Piano : I taught myself how to play the piano two years ago, so I know how to teach the piano to other beginners. I know how to teach the basics. And I am very passionate about playing the piano, I also know a lot of music theory.

I am a Sophomore attending Sonoma State to receive my Teaching Credential and Bachelors in Liberal Arts within four years. I have over seven years experience teaching within a classroom, and teaching students one on one. I really love to teach and I not only can teach mostly everything in an elementary school, and some subjects in middle school and high school, but I also have a lot of experience in extracurriculars. I have thirteen years of experience in a private art class, studying sketching, acrylic painting, oil painting, also a little sculpting. During high school I had two years of solo vocal classes and three years of choir. My sophomore through senior year I studied under my choir director who has many credentials including a two masters and one doctorate all in various vocal and musical theory studies.

A Little Bit About Me...

Since I have worked students with a wide variety of learning issues; I feel that I am well prepared to assess and deliver educational materials and instruction to any student. I understand that each student has his learning style and prefers specific modalities such as: games & puzzles, logical sequential, the arts, naturalistic, etc. Although those would not be the only modalities I would use to educate my students, I feel that I must acknowledge this and respond with a portion of the lessons directed at personal interest. Also, the student's learning environment is important. I think children should be taught to respect eachother before beginning any type of curriculum and to practice safety habits as well as learn their surroundings then the teaching begins. I integrate the them across the curriculum, incorporating the major domains of language and literacy, mathematics, science the arts, phsical development, and personl social development. I believe children love structure and need structure to know what they need to accomplish and have a sense of direction.
