I have gone through a lot of different experiences throughout life, and I'm more than happy to help and share those experiences if you'd allow me. I started playing piano at a very young age (7 years old) and afterwards started to pick up other instruments along the way which resulted in all county for Tuba (3rd chair 2010) and in that same year becoming a drum major. I've learned much about music theory, as well as keeping up with every other course I selected while in school. I have experience in the military and with that comes a level of professionalism that can easily be seen once eyes are set upon me. Before the military I was an intern for many different jobs at MacDill AFB and that simply added to my knowledge including theater, and how to help other unlock their hidden potential for drama! I am very aware that everyone learns at different levels and in different ways. I am observant and mindful of this in teaching. I have worked with children with special needs for many years. Also, teaching ESL has helped me become a strong teacher because it has made me excellent with non verbal communication. It is important to have a stimulating environment for students. I want my students to want to come to my classroom and become involved in the lessons. I believe in balance. I think it is important to have fun but also be productive. A Little Bit About Me...

I believe that teaching and learning should be both an enjoyable and painful experience at times. I realize that we all have days in which learning is not quite what we want to do, but it is what we have to do. I also realize that interactive and challenging assignments can win any student over. I am the type of teacher that likes for my students to thoroughly enjoy learning, because I enjoy teaching.
I have been teaching for the past 7 years of my life, and truly enjoy helping students learn. I taught for four years in Florida's Broward County School System, and I have just completed my second year in Houston County's School System. I enjoy teaching children of all ages. Learning can be fun as long as you can relate it to something that the child is interested in.
