I teach hands-on with many demonstrations and hands-on activities. I have been told by some of my past students that I made science fun for them and that science used to be their worst subject, but with me as their teacher they found it to be their favorite subject.

A Little Bit About Me...

One thing I discovered about myself recently was that I have a passion for teaching. I love the idea of imparting knowledge and sharing what you have learned to other people, children in particular. There is nothing more rewarding than becoming part of somebody's learning process and intellectual growth. My teaching style involves active involvement from the student, making sure that they're getting the point and learning to apply the concepts in various situations. In reality, I have been tutoring almost since I could read or write. The first tutoring job I held was in elementary school. After graduating from elementary school, I did my first two years of secondary education via home-school and stayed at our small, two-room elementary school in order to help the younger students. During my senior year of academy, I served as a Resident Assistant and Dormitory Tutor. After earning my bachelors degree in Biology, I returned home and worked at our local community college as a math tutor, and then went on to privately tutor several individuals, including one student who had been diagnosed with ADD.
