I tutored at Sunnymead Elementary School in Moreno Valley for three years. I worked alongside with many teachers every year. I often was assigned small groups of students to work with. I enforced the teachers lesson plans and skills to help the students with their math and reading skills. I also followed lesson plans that the teacher gave me to conduct for the entire class. These were small lessons usually a math lesson on how to carry out certain types of problems.
I believe that children really are our future and with the help, we can direct them into a successful life. Being able to see a child learn and increase their knowledge is a wonderful thing. When a child struggles with school work, they often are discouraged and may give up. But with the right guidance, the child may learn to love school and the knowledge they have gained.
