I am a recent graduate from Yale School of Art where I received my Masters of Fine Art in Painting/Printmaking. Before attending Yale I went to Asbury University where I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Studio Art. I have experience teaching painting and drawing classes. My work ranges from painting, video, sculpture and installation. I have shown throughout Kentucky, Ohio and Connecticut. In 2014 I will be going to Iceland for a residency at Hafnarborg Museum, as well as Vermont to the Vermont Studio Center. I am a classically trained painter, having studied under Sheldon Tapley at Centre College and Jacob Collins at the Grand Central Academy of Art in Manhattan. I work best with pre-school, kindergarten, and first graders and have had lots of experience with Spanish speaking children. I consider myself a hands-on teacher. I believe that all children can excel in the right learning environment when given opportunity to experience and experiment with learning tools. I love using music to teach reading and math.
