My first career was as a Registered Professional Nurse (NYS licensure) for 25 years. During those years, I kept up my interest in various fields of math, such as Abstract Algebra, Differential equations, and topology. I was especially interested in algebraically-capable computer math programs. I,eventually, went back to school for my Mathematics degree as part of a long-standing interest in and commitment to Mathematics. I presently teach students who are "at risk" in the 7th through 12th grades and have done so for the last 10-11 years at OHM-BOCES. I have had many years of educational instructing in a classroom environment with my previous employment positions. I have filled the role of new hire trainer, technical instructor, and professional development program design manager. In all of these roles I had the opportunity to teach / train on various levels in both a one-on-one setting as well as a group setting.
