I love to learn, and love passing that on to others. I am a patient personality, and I may present a problem to a student to evaluate where they are. From there, we can go either backwards or to more advanced work. Education is very important for myself and for my children, and I like to instill that learning takes you further in life than where someone may have not even dreamed. I am amazed at seeing cashiers who can't make simple change, or someone who can't calculate a small percentage in their head, such as 10% of a number. I want children to learn and have a feel-good attitude with their accomplishments.

I want to do my part in society, and make life better for others. I want to reassure children that they can reach their goals. Many children loose confidence in themselves if they have a hard time understanding school material. I want to tutor and restore that confidence. I want to get to know each student and figure out the way that they learn the best. I want to incorporate that into my way of teaching so that they can understand. I am that person that creates a crazy song or system to remember formulas and rules. I have found that this not only helps me, but others also.
