My teaching style adapts to the students current level of knowledge. I always model 2 or 3 problems step by step before asking the student to try a problem. A student is comfortable knowing that I have "their backs" and won't let them be frustrated for long. This gives a student confidence to try problems on their own.
I taught in two public high schools in Orange and Osceola Counties in the Central Florida area for 5 years where I earned the Professional Educators Certificate to teach mathematics 6 - 12. For the past 10 years, I have been teaching at a Huntington Learning Center while privately tutoring students from the area middle, high school, and community colleges.

My primary aim in tutoring students is to assess exactly where they are academically, including reading level and math skills. Then I teach to their exact level. I help them to set up realistic goals and strive to meet those goals. At my undergraduate program, my professor for a course in Symbolic Logic asked to refer students in the class to me, if they had questions about the material. After the class had finished, the professor hired me through the university's Philosophy Department as a tutor for the same class. After graduation, I acted as a private tutor in my spare time.
