A Little Bit About Me...

Violin, viola: I have been playing the violin for 24 years, and the viola for 9 years. I studied classical music in Hungary at the Bela Bartok Music High School (4years). I recieved a bachelor's degree in viola teaching and chamber performance at the University of Miskolc Bela Bartok Institute of Music (4 years). I have experience performing in chamber orchestra, symphony orchestra, and in different chamber groups throughout all of my schools (duet, trio, and quartet). I also studied how to teach violin ( teaching techniques) for four years, and in my last year of college I taught violin for a whole year.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have work in the Chemical Industry for over 15 years and in that time I have learn to run experiments, do calculations and write reports. I have had to you and learn extensively about chemistry and and had to math to understand and interpret the results. I have worked a group called the Tronix team were I would work with middle school students building boom boxes from lunch boxes. I have also worked with a group call ACES which was a after school tutoring program. I am current working on my Life Science Licensure and how to be teacher by January of 2011.
I have enjoyed watching children learn especially when they take what they have learn to the next level.I like to use a questioning approach when working with student to let them discover the answers for themselves. I believe in a teaching style that reflects a student's learning style. Whether they learn best by hearing, seeing, or doing it is important to cater to the student. My teaching style works around this philosphy and tends to be a combination of all 3 styles.
Although I have recently graduated with a degree in business, I am interested in pursuing a career involving people. My previous employment was a sales position that was very customer-oriented. I also have 3 years of experience helping children by teaching swimming lessons. Assisting my 15-year-old sister with her school work is also a regular activity.
