Finance is one of my top subjects! Series 7 Exam

I have over 20 years experience as a Certified Public Accountant. In addition to that time I have over 10 years with a hedge trading options. I also have a couple of years experience teaching basic accounting and tax courses as an Associate Professor at Longview Community College in the Kansas City area.
I use the basic visual and auditory but the vast majority I use is "Learn by Doing". A hands on approach by the student creates a much higher retention rate in my experience.

A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching technique the students differ greatly in their ability to acquire knowledge depending on their previous backgrounds and learning styles. Therefore, it is a very challenging task as a tutor to create a fertile learning environment for students with dissimilar needs,and to be able to achieve not only the targeted course objectives, but also inspire students into becoming independent problem-solvers and good thinkers. So, one practice that has been very useful to me as a tutor is to be able to identify student’s skills and their conceptual understanding levels early on in a particular course.

I graduated with a BS degree from the University of Pittsburgh, majoring in Psychology with a minor in Sociology.
