I worked in the financial sector for 10 years and have a Master's Degree in Economics and Finance. Since then I have focused my efforts into freelance teaching, and have worked with students in a variety of subjects: chess, math, finance, language arts, history, piano, and writing, among others. My comments on tutoring World History : Experienced at the Middle and High School level.

I like to nurture my students without enabling them. I tend to ask my students pointed questions about the subject at hand to inspire critical thinking and push them to arrive at their own interpretation of the correct answer. I feel that this best prepares them for college-level work.
I graduated from Princeton University with a BA (cum laude) in History and will be starting a Ph.D. program in History in the fall. I have always had a knack for the sciences and left the Midwest to follow my love of Marine Biology. While in school, I revisted my interest in the arts (painting, piano, and animation).
