A Little Bit About Me...

I have worked with the LAUSD district, at Granada Hills Elementary School, as an Instructional AID. This position required me to work with students hands on, either in groups or one-on-one. I helped students who were either falling behind on subjects or were having trouble finishing assignments. I also worked with groups of students helping them improve writing composition or comprehension skills. I also had students who were new to the country,with little English. I sat down with them an hour each day during school, working to improve their reading and writing skills. I have also work as an ELA tutor with NCLB Learning With Laptops. I try to model my own love of learning to my mentee.

I’ve been exploring possible future careers for myself. Recently as I was tutoring one of my classmates with an English assignment, she mentioned to me that I am very easy-going when it comes to helping her learn and understand the assignments.
