My bachelor's degree from University of Missouri-Columbia is in Political Science. I also minored in Art History. I have done extensive research in each of these areas and feel competent to teach or tutor either. In 2005 I joined the U.S. Peace Corps as a TEFL teacher. I taught English to Mongolian students from elementary school to adults in both classroom and individual settings for two years. Other areas I have in-depth knowledge in are English Literature, Poetry, Philosophy and Psychology. I am currently refreshing and adding to the French I studied at the university and feel that I could competently teach it. I have always preferred an interactive teaching style. I spent two years teaching and tutoring Autistic children. I aided in routine skills, verbal skills and dealing with change. I have worked with two different children on these skills. I also have extensive skills in writing and researching for my research papers. I also have great knowledge of APA format and can write an essay in no time flat. I love working with children. I have helped with pre-K and grade school children with an emphasis on working with Autistic children. All children can succeed in school given the right tools; just because they do not get the idea from one method does not mean that they won't get it from a different method. I think that all children can learn regardless of age, learning ability or other status, if given a chance.

I utilized several methods in my research, including both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
