A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is probably best suited to high school and college students. Although I successfully helped my own 3 children through their elementary school, high school and college years, my tutoring experience has been with older students. My wife is a Montessori trained teacher so I have absorbed that method for tutoring. Each student must be viewed as an individual to define the areas of weakness and fill them in. My education is from Brazil. I have graduated from LETRAS, TRADUTOR/INTERPRETE at the Universidade Ibero Americana in Sao Paulo. Since 1991 I have been teaching ESL for Brazilian students. Once I moved to the USA, I have had the experience of working as an ESL teacher for the Latino Community in some palces in Eugene, Oregon. I enjoy teaching. Working with a student one-to-one or even in small groups allows a student to have their individual needs met. Tutoring has the advantage of catching the student where they are struggling to comprehend. I am patient, creative, and prefer to model examples for my students.
