I have always had a passion to help all children. I believe I can help them discover things they did not know about themselves whether it be personal experience or not, but discovering the possibilities an education is great success! I grew up in Spain as my parents were career missionaries. From the time I was young, I have enjoyed teaching and have done it whenever I could. In 13, I taught my younger brother to read. All during high school, I tutored students. When I went to college, my part-time job was to be the assistant to the Spanish professor and to teach in the language lab. I taught for many years in schools overseas, in Nicaragua and Spain. In the U.S. I taught Spanish for 2 years in Piney Woods and 3 years at Clinton High School.
It is my belief that all have the right to receive a thorough and complete education. A Little Bit About Me...

My motto is simple: In all of your getting, get an understanding. I truly belive that every child can learn. Even a child with a disadvantage still comes with an advantage because they are always getting some help. It also depends on the child also. We must both be focused on the task at hand and together we must tackle it until it is thoroughly understood.
For the last past six years I have enjoyed my students. They never cease to amaze me with all the many things that they can grasp when you try. I was an assistant in JPS. Tutoring was my job. I have also tutored other grades up to fifth. I really enjoy kids and I always wish the best for them. I have also had to be the actual teacher for the remainder of the school year and did grades and end of the school year things due to the teachers' emergency leave.

I have a love for education. This is my gift by teaching others what I have been taught throughout my educational life as well as professional life. I am easy going, patient and considerate of others. I don't beleieve in the verbage "slow learners", we all can learn if taught appropriately. Teaching is one of the most rewarding profession in my opinion.
I graduated cum laude from Jackson State University. I am currently pursuing a master's degree in mass comm/english literature. I have developed extensive grammatical and writing skills by doing research papers for myself as well as assisting fellow peers and other students who had a need for a writer. During the last three years I have tutored and taught education in my church for the purposes of uplifting the educational ministry.
