The child chooses the style. What I mean by this is that every child is different and every one of them learn differently. Teaching on a more personal level is how to aid the best results.
My experience started in my high school years helping my brother and sisters with homework while our mom was working. Presently I am employed at a day care center/ school, were everyday is spent engaged with the kids and their educational needs. At Millsaps, I was a member of Beta Beta Beta which is a biology honor society. As a member, I was responsible for tutoring underclassmen for two years. I spent much of my time at Millsaps coming up with a system of studying and organization which I shared with numerous others. Teaching others is most effective when you can convince someone that the material is actually easy. That is what I do. I make it as easy as possible by organizing the material in a way which shows the student that the material isn't infinite. We then chip away at it. I believe that using different teaching techniques will allow students to be successful in their learning. My previous experience teaching at a Charter School in Texas and teaching at a public school district in Texas. Also, I have taught in the Jackson Public School District in Jackson, MS. My experience has been working with at-risk students and working with student one-on-one. In addition, I have worked with students that needed to be prep for tutorial.
