I play quite a bit of online chess where I consistently rank within the top 90% of players. I have been recognized as a Class B player by USCF standards. Violin: Violin has definitely advanced my musical understanding. I have spent the past decade studying this instrument and have participated in the La'bri Symphonic Orchestra and String Ensemble. Over the course of the past 10 years I have spent time working with students struggling to develop their academic skills, particularly in the areas of language arts and the social studies. From my initial work as a foster care academic transitions liaison,to the attainment of my M.ED., my broad service as a classroom teacher, department chair and A.P. program coordinator, I have been fortunate to work with students from across the broadest possible ability spectrum and have learned to sow the seeds of confidence and success in learners of all competency and motivational levels.

More About This Tutor...

As a Covenant College graduate, I was eager to achieve a high level of excellence in education. I was able to graduate with a bachelor's degree in Community Development. Due to the different core classes required for the major, I was able to take different Economics classes, History classes, and Social science classes. During my four years at Covenant College I was able to tutor students that were taking Spanish as a foreign language. I also was able to tutor middle and high school students from the community.
I love teaching and working with all children. I believe that the young and former generations are entitled to learn in order to participate in today's society. I am extremely patient, and I am willing to teach according to the child's process of learning. My goal and aspiration is to help and encourage the importance of education.
