My comments on tutoring American History : Exploring all areas of American History, linking literature and drama to help students understand the concepts and events.

I recently obtained my Bachelor's Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, where I graduated in the top of my class with a 4.0. While there, I often tutored people in writing and research, as well as serving as a Teaching Assistant for various classes including: Theatre History, Voice for the Actor, and Shakespeare. In addition to my degree in Theatrical Performance, I received a minor in English Literature. Since I've been home, I've been helping some of the younger members of my family with their writing and study skills, and their grades have greatly improved since we've started working together. My comments on tutoring American History : From the founding of the Colonies at Jamestown through current history-making events, students of American History will explore where the nation began, and how it has grown into what is is today.

Throughout undergraduate and now graduate work, I have always had a passion for passing along what I know, in hopes of teaching and inspiring, and developing others. I have two years of private-school teaching behind me, as well as two summers working with inner-city kids in a program that used the arts to bridge the gap between social and educational shortfalls within the city.
