Fun and Effective Learning for Enrichment & a Better Future!

I like to give practical examples and modern day analogies. I like to keep learning fun, no matter what the age. A man once told me when I was purchasing a seat for my bicycle, "You should get the most comfortable seat, because you a lot more likely to ride longer." After he gave me that advise, and I bought a comfortable seat, I rode 22 miles the first time out. I don't want somebody to be quick to stop learning, because it's not comfortable, so we do what we can to make it fun!

A Little Bit About Me...

I have been teaching private music lessons for over 3 years and have taught many students ages 5 through adult. I teach saxophone to the advanced level and beginning piano and clarinet. I can also tutor and teach music theory, music history, world music, and composition. My speciality is jazz and improvisation. Lauren Wasynczuk - Saxophonist, Conductor & Music Educator

I evaluate the student and see where he/she stands and move forward in progressing their skill. Every instrument is different and difficult in its own way. I will teach the student the most productive way to practice by using the technique I learned by professors and professional musicians. For trumpet, I work on the embochure, and breathing. For violin, I evaluate the way the student holds the instrument including posture. I use a special tape to help guide with the notes which I use as training wheels, and take them down one at a time as the student progresses. The student learns at his/her pace and will vary by the amount of practice he/she puts into it.
