Let's learn together!

I obviously love for you to learn what you need and what you want to learn! I do most of my style with visualization and speaking. I believe that you can read it but until you put it into practice you cannot use it.
I recently travelled to China to help various students in Kunming and Chengong with their oral and written English. I also spent some time teaching students spanish vocabulary and pronunciation. As of now I am nannying two children and a set of grandparents. I have spent many hours teaching the children daily Spanish, the grandparents also do not know any English but only Mandarin Chinese. Every day I help them to understand more English to make it more convenient for them to live in spokane. Last year I completed my minor in Spanish at Eastern Washington University and spend many days practicing and learning more and more from my Spanish speaking friends.

A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is to captivate the student's interest with hands on activities that demonstrate academic concepts. After the student understands the concrete real life connection, then we move into the abstract representation of the same concept in print. Each student has strengths and weaknesses that I try to understand and adapt lessons to their unique method of understanding. I also find it effective to teach students with familiar vocabulary that they already understand and then build new ideas upon their previous knowledge. I find it best to communicate with other educators in each child's life to compliment the focus of other studies using the same ideas, but seeing them in different ways.
