A Little Bit About Me...

I am a graduate of the University of Southern MS, with a undergraduate in Business Marketing. I began teaching and tutoring in 2008-2009 school for Jackson Public Schools. I underwent the Alternative Route for teaching for ceritification. I am the Aaccelerated Reader Coordinator for Lee Elementary School. I also serve as Head Librarian for the school as well. Our school has implemented a plan in which Resource staff tutors daily. I tutor grades 3-5 in areas of Mathematics, Reading and Language Arts. My motto is simple: In all of your getting, get an understanding. I truly belive that every child can learn. Even a child with a disadvantage still comes with an advantage because they are always getting some help. It also depends on the child also. We must both be focused on the task at hand and together we must tackle it until it is thoroughly understood.
For the last past six years I have enjoyed my students. They never cease to amaze me with all the many things that they can grasp when you try. I was an assistant in JPS. Tutoring was my job.
