I have served as a substitute teacher in Hayward, CA for 1 1/2 years. I worked as a tutor for Learning & Loving It in San Jose, CA for 3 years. I served as a tutor and teacher of adult education in Loganville, GA for 1 year. I am currently on the substitute teacher roster for the Vicksburg School District, and I have been so for two years.
I first introduce myself and get to know a little about the student I am tutoring. Then, I establish a baseline of what they have learned so that I can direct my attention to their strengths and weaknesses. Finally, I get into the material with the student and show them how and why the material is important and applicable in the world in which we live.

Much of my institutional voyage was spent in the leviathan web of mathematics. I instinctively operated under such a language as the diffusive properties came fairly easy, resulting in a BS in Mathematics with a Business and French minor at Mississippi College. My short venture in civil engineering school at Mississippi State University provided me with knowledge in physics and chemistry as well. Although primarily science driven, I continued to delve in all worlds of education. I love literature, art, language, and history as well. This holistic approach equipped me with a broad mind. I believe that the logic and rules of math and science subjects allows comprehension for virtually all students. I also understand that people process and learn information differently, therefore I cater my teaching approach to the individual to maximize their learning potential. I find what the student understands and build upon that for greater comprehension.
