My comments on tutoring Physics : I completed three semesters of physics as an undergraduate (mechanics, modern physics, and electricity and magnetism), as well as a number of courses in astronomy that involved topics in physics.

I have experience working with students who are advanced and seeking supplementary tutoring as well as with students who are having difficulty with a subject. I have tutored mathematics as well as chemistry, biology, physics, and other subjects. I have tutored students from a range of ages and I worked with my first student over four years ago while I was in college.
I try to work with students to find connections between different aspects of the material that we're working on as well as to find connections to other subjects. I find that by relating specific topics to broader perspectives on a subject as well as related subjects, the student can gain a greater appreciation for the coherence and importance of a particular subject area.

Multiple Strategies Used to Manifest Understanding

I am a kinesthetic, visual learner and that is how I like to teach. I was not one of those students who could hear a concept once and apply the it the next second with total understanding. Physics is one of my top subjects!

While I was going to college, I was employed by the University of Nebraska as a tutor for students in calculus and calculus based physics. I learned to teach students who learn by different methods and make the subjects relatable and understandable.
