I have over 13 years of tutor experience working with young and adult students. I have a BA in Criminal Justice this degree has helped me relate and better assist my students during our tutoring sessions. I enjoy reading and writing. In the past I have tutored students individually and in small groups of 3 to 4 to help them develop their basic reading, writing and study skills. I am very flexible in my teaching style and have helped students who learn in very different ways. While I was working with the Reading by the River program I worked with four different students each of which learned in very different ways. From this I learned at a very early time in my life that it is crucial to cater to each individual students needs. I personally have a more analytical mind and analytical learning style however I have learned how to explain technical aspects of accounting in a variety of ways. When I was in 7th and 8th grade I participated in America Reads where I helped teach elementary children how to read.
